About Us

GCUK is the official supporters’ club for Genoa CFC fans based in the United Kingdom. Founded by long-standing supporters living in the UK, the club connects Rossoblù fans, organises match gatherings, and safeguards the heritage of the oldest football club in Italy. We unite tradition, loyalty, and community on match days, at social events such as Christmas dinner, summer BBQ, charity initiatives and media activity, at sporting events including our eight-a-side football league “LSL” and five-a-side “United in the Name of Genoa” and on away fixtures.

Our Story

Genoa supporters have always travelled. The UK connection is structural, not symbolic. The club itself was founded in 1893 by English expatriates in Genoa. Genoa Club UK was established in 2019 to strengthen that bridge, honouring the historic Anglo-Genoese link and William Garbutt, the first great professional coach in Italian football and a defining figure at Genoa. His influence was such that football managers in Italy came to be known as “Mister”, a linguistic legacy of that Anglo-Italian connection.

From informal pub screenings to organised events, the objective remains constant: visibility, continuity, presence, and the disciplined promotion of Genoa CFC culture across the United Kingdom.
